When young people pass Secondary Education Examination, they move from SOS families to SOS Youth Care Biratnagar. It is the second largest city of Nepal which is located in Koshi Zone. Young people are transferred to pursue higher secondary education or vocational training. SOS Children’s Village Itahari is running a number of programmes in Sunsari. Under family like care, we provide support to the families and communities to strengthen their capacities so that children can live happily in their family of origin. Through Family Strengthening programme, we are providing training to the family members to generate income, educational support to the children, counselling advice and guidance to the parents. Similarly, we are also running a day care service to the children of the socially and economically backward community. It provides nutritious meal and support to the children.
