What could be the best time to express love and appreciation to the mothers for showering their children love, care and affection? For the children under the care of SOS Children’s Villages Nepal, Mother’s Day is the most apporopriate time to extend heartfelt grattitude for the support and warmth that the children have been receiving from their SOS mothers. On this auspicious occassion, children organized different activities for their SOS mothers.

The Child Club of the SOS Children’s Village Sanothimi organized a greeting card competition among the 16 family houses in the village. This was children’s effort to show love and appreciation for their SOS mothers whom children consider as their world.
Children through the means of art expressed their love towards their SOS mothers through colors and gave their best to reflect the bond between their mothers and a child.
Similarly, on the occasion of Mother’s Day, children cooked favorite food of their mothers. They also baked a cake for the first time. It was a memorable day for all the children as well as for the mothers.

In each children’s villages, we have an SOS mothers who lead a family and provides the emotional support, guidance, love and support to the children under her care.
