SOS Children's Villages Nepal ensures that every child can enjoy its basic right to quality education. Therefore, advocating skillful practical education is a key to a successful future, it runs kindergartens, day care centers, schools and vocational training centers to address the need and right of children. Its educational policy focuses on ‘Learning for Life’ and states that quality education is the means to break the cycle of marginalization, poverty, violence and family breakdown by helping children and young people to develop the necessary capabilities with which they can live a dignified and respectable life. Hence the learning opportunities we offer in our schools are of high quality; they ensure employability, and motivate young people for further education and promote a thrust for life-long learning. Our educational hubs educate to the children of the respective SOS Children's Village and the children of surrounding community inclusively. We work to promote gender equality, equal access for all, social inclusion and non-discrimination, and to promote ecological awareness for sustainable development. We assist the needy children from community with school fees, uniform and school supplies. All of our schools are state recognized and teach according to the national curricula. Our schools are categorized under 'A'-class schools in the country as per the national criteria as regards qualified teachers and its academic environment. We advocate for early childhood education, secondary education and vocational training available to all children in our target group.
