21st Nov. 2015 SOS Children’s Village Dhangadhi celebrated 26th International Children’s Day with various activities. On this occasion, varieties of cultural dances, songs and poems were presented by the children and mothers. Similarly, the winners of various games like Matching Race, Math Race, Oratory competition, and Quiz competition conducted on the auspicious occasion of 26th International Children’s Day were rewarded by different prizes. Different cultural performances during the program were eye catching and praiseworthy. Ms. Diveshwori Bohara, mother representative, expressed her happiness to be associated with the organization as a Mother. She further stated that she is much delighted with the drastic change found amidst the children regarding their behavior, manner of speaking, study, discipline and leadership within a short span of time. Ms. Ghana Kumari Khatri, President, Child Club, SOS Children’s Village Dhangadhi laid her view about the significance of the day. She told that children should not be abused mentally, physically, psychologically or sexually. She further shed light on the importance of child right and child responsibility. She also added that the child club will do its level best to obliterate child abuse from the Village. At the same time, she didn’t forget to mention that either form of violence is unacceptable for the children; the children should be kept away from the violence. Mr. Ramesh Chandra Bhandari, the Senior Counselor, SOS Children’s Village Dhangadhi admired the presentation of the children. He congratulated all the winners and appreciated the involvement of all the mothers, children and staff to make 26th International Children’s Day very successful. Likewise, he also thanked to all the mother and aunt for the proper care of the children.
