SOS Children’s Village Dhangadhi successfully organized a one-day Eye Campaign on 10th October 2015. The Eye Campaign was voluntarily conducted by Geta Eye Hospital, Attariya, Kailali. The team from the hospital checked eyes of all the members of village family as well as oriented them about eyes problems. They further requested all the co-workers, mothers and aunts to pay due attention for the care eyes of their children. The orientation program was quite interesting and almost all children, mothers/aunts and co-workers put their queries regarding eye care to the team and the team was happy to address their queries. There was plenty of interaction in the session. The two member’s team was led by Ms. Meena Bista, the Ophthalmic Assistant; Geta eye Hospital, Attariya, Kailali. Fifty nine children, fifteen mothers/aunts and other co-workers were directly benefitted from the campaign. The program was started at 7 AM and continued until 4 PM. At the end of session, Ms. Meena Bista, the Ophthalmic Assistant, expressed her happiness on behalf of entire team for the opportunity to serve SOS Children's Village Dhangadhi family. She further assured that the Eye Hospital is always ready to conduct such programs for the children even in the days to come. Finally the program was concluded by Village Director, Mr. Padam Bahadur Hamal with his concluding remarks. He expressed that the SOS Children's Village Dhangadhi family is indebt towards Geta Eye Hospital family for its invaluable service and support. At the same time, he thanked to all the children, mothers/ aunts, coworkers for their active participation in the program and requested them to implement their learning in days to day life.
