“Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure”
Late Ms. Chandra Shova Timila
We are deeply saddened by the untimely demise of our longest serving SOS Mother Chandra Shova Timila of SOS Children’s Village Jorpati. She possessed a quality to offer a helping hand to differently abled children in need, a true compassionate being. She joined SOS Children’s Villages Nepal in July 17, 1981 as an aunt in SOS Children’s Village Gandaki. Later, she was transferred as a mother in House No. 4 at SOS Children’s Village Jorpati.
During her 35 years of tenure, she ensured that the physical and emotional need of special children are met and they are happy. She was greatly thoughtful for the progress of children and young people under her care at SOS Children’s Village Jorpati and made a significant contribution to change their lives.
She raised 12 differently abled children into young adults, among whom 11 are already integrated into wider society as capable citizens. Her contribution to SOS Children’s Villages Nepal will always be remembered in the days to come.
She is survived by her biological daughter, son, daughter-in-law and 2 grandchildren. At this hour of profound grief, we pray to almighty for the heavenly abode of the departed soul. May God shower abundant blessings to the bereaved family to withstand this irreparable loss.
