A Hearty Reception to New Comers
10 July 2011
SOS Hermann Gmenier Higher Secondary School at Gharipatan has the tradition of welcoming the higher secondary students with “Khata” or scarves. The programme is annually organized by the grade XII students.
This year’s welcome programme for our Management Stream after grade X for higher secondary education was no less colourful and meaningful. The formal welcome speech by a student in grade XII (Karma Tselha Dolma) and the academic coordinator was followed by the distribution of the auspicious white scarves for the new comers by the school Principal, Mr. Tsering Thondup with the help of the Grade XII Class Teacher, Mr. Hari Chandra Sapkota.  The organizers came up with various welcome and entertainments as solo dance, group dance, solo songs and a new version of yak dance which filled the hall with laughter and applause.<<detail>>

Students themselves took the initiative to prepare an interesting skit on “social evils” and with the help of teachers touched on the theme topic of “Non Government Organizations” i<<detail>>
