The Lions Club Pokhara Annapurna celebrated its Silver Jubilee at Pokhara City Hall on 27th December 2011. During its celebration, 25 people were felicitated whom they believed, "1st Persons made Valuable Contributions in Academic Field and its further Development in Pokhara Valley". They were felicitated with Appreciation Letter, Shawl and Flower Garland by the Chief Guests, Mhaha Jhori.
Mr Ngawang Dorjee, Project Director of SOS Children's Village Pokhara was one of the recipients, as 1st SOS-Father in Pokhara Valley.
Mr Ngawang Dorjee fully believes that he could get such recognition only by good jobs done by all SOS Projects in Pokhara Valley and moreover it is the Vision and Mission of SOS Children's Villages Nepal implemented in the Country. His greatest joy is that the SOS Organization and its valuable contribution in the Country is known and accepted by main stream of the people.
