14th October, 2018 SOS Children’s Village Dhangadhi successfully completed its Social audit on 14th October, 2018. In the formal program, Mr. Padam Bahadur Hamal, Project Director, SOS Children’s Village Dhangahi highlighted on: • Major activities of 2017 • total income and expenditure of the year 2017 • Mission, Vision and Values of SOS • Activities under Family based care (FBC) and Family strengthening programs (FSP) especially in the field of child safeguarding, education, nutrition and health • Statistics, Achievements and challenges faced by the organization and the expectations from the Provincial & local Government and other stakeholders • Plans for next year Chief Guest, Mr. Dirgh Bahadur Sodari, the Honorable Minister, Social Development Ministry, Province number seven appreciated the work of SOS and expressed his commitment to support SOS for the children who have none. Special Guest, Mr. Nrip Bahadur Odd, Mayor, Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City had the similar opinion. Mr. Bir Bahadur Jethara, the Lawyer and member, District Child Welfare Board Kailali, thanked to SOS for conducting such program and making its activities transparent. Similarly, Mr. Prabin Chand, President, Bishal Bal club, requested to all other likeminded organizations to make active and meaningful participation of the children in their programs. In the similar vein, Mr. Laxman B.K from CCSD Kailali, Mr. Sunita Chaudhary from Family Child Care Home, Mr. Chatta Raj Joshi, Social Worker, Mr. Deepak Bhandari, President, Nepal Disabled Association, Khagendra New Life Centre, Mr. Uttam Raj Joshi, Chairperson, Nepal Redcross Society, Kailali were other speakers. On the same occasion, many participants put their views and joined in the interaction. Earlier, Mr. Ramesh Chandra Bhandari, the Senior Counselor, SOS Children’s Village Dhangadhi had delivered his welcome speech.
