| On 2nd September, 2011 , Friday the president of SOS Kinderdorf International Mr. Helmut Kutin made a visit to SOS Children’s Village Jorpati. The children of the Village welcomed him. This time the children were accompanied by their grownup and integrated brothers and sisters who came from all around the Kathmandu just to meet Mr. Kutin and to give him a big thank You from all of them. |
In his regular visit, Mr. Kutin visits all the houses in routine manner before he sits down for a short rest and may be a cup of lemon tea with sugar, but this time after visiting all the houses, the integrated and semi-integrated youths of SOS Children’s Village Jorpati invited him and other dignitaries the Continental Director for Asia- Ms. Shubha Murthi, the Director of Thailand and the National Director of Nepal Mr. Shree Shankar Pradhananga for a short teatime get-together- which they delightfully accepted.
In the event, one of the integrated youth Mr. Deepak KC- An architect Engineer, gifted Mr. Kutin a token of Love and “Thank you” on behalf all the Integrated and semi-integrated youths. The gift was a collage photograph of all the youths forming a huge flower with many petals and mentioned ‘To our beloved Kutin Uncle’ & quoted “ We are the Yield of your Plantation”- which was liked very much by Mr. Kutin and said “Yield is the important part of any plantation”. Being the President of the Organization, he is the father figure of all the children and youths as well as all the co-workers, may be that is why he is sometimes called as the Grand father of SOS Children- this was the idea behind the quote.
Later in the same event mothers of SOS Children’s Village Jorpati presented a gift to Mr. Kutin, the gift was a set of Nepali Brass Plate, water pot and soup bowl which have been known to provide good health to the person who serve food in it.
Mr. Kutin was overwhelmed with such love and gratefulness from Children and thanked all the children for doing their best in setting an example to the entire world that Even having various disabilities they are not less than any of the other children of the world.
He said, “ more than 80% of all the people in the world have a type or a sort of disability, but all have to learn from the children and Youths of SOS Children’s Village Jorpati how to achieve their goals of life despite of their disabilities”. Later he also congratulated all the mothers, Project Director and co-workers for their achievement in helping orphan children who have some sort of disability. Mr. Kutin motivated all the children, youths, mothers, aunts and co-workers to keep up the good work and assured his utmost support.
All the youths individually thanked and introduced themselves, their works, education and life status to Mr. Kutin which he listened very carefully and gave a word of motivation to every youth. |
