SOS Hermann Gmeiner School Bharatpur organized a special function to mark 26th International SOS Day on 23rd June, 2012. The function followed a week-long celebration. Different inter-house and class-wise games and sports were organized for children.

NJRC SOS Hermann Gmeiner School Bharatpur organized a Blood Donation Programme on 22nd June, 2012 on the eve of 26th International SOS Day. A total number of 30 donors donated blood in the programme.
In the opening remarks, the Project Director of SOS Children’s Village Bharatpur, Mr. Bhola Nath Paudel thanked the Blood Bank Bharatpur for the technical support and lauded the initiations taken by juniors of the Circle. He also assured any kind of assistance for such endeavors in the coming days too.
The programme was formally started with School Vice Principal Mr. Surendra Amgai donating blood. The School Principal and NJRC Patron, Mr. Ganga B Gurung also was present in the function. It is worth-remembering here that NJRC had organized a one day Blood Donation Motivation for school going children in February this year.
The main function on 23rd June was chaired by the Project Director of SOS Children’s Village Bharatpur, Mr. Bhola Nath Paudel. The musical performance of the School Orchestra entertained the audience. The academic prizes of the academic session 2010/11 were given away in the same programme. The Chair also handed over the prizes of the eighth edition of the District Level Inter High School Hermann Gmeiner Running Trophy Quiz Contest. The Quiz Contest was held on 22nd June in which Little Star English School, Pancha Kanya Secondary School and Sky Rider English School had stood first, second and third respectively. Little Star English School bagged the running trophy along with the cash prize of Rs 4000. The second and third were awarded the cash prizes of Rs 3000 and Rs 2000 respectively.
The chairperson of the function and the Project Director of SOS CV Bharatpur, Mr. Paudel congratulated every jubilant face for the successful bygone years and wished more promising days ahead.
