SOS Youth Facility Nepalgunj lies on the mid-western development region in Banke district. It is the capital city of the far and mid-western hilly areas. On its south is Nepal – India border, Rupaidihya which is just 5 km from the centre of city, on north is Surkhet & south - west Dhangadhi-Mahendranagar. |
SOS Youth Facility Nepalgunj which has two separate building for boys and girls had a capacity of 28 on each building. Construction work was started in 1993 and SOS Youth Facility started to give its’ services since 1995 for the grown youths came from SOS Children’s village Surkhet. Now 76 (boys -43, girls-33) youths are under direct supervision & care where each of them is achieving their aims on their interested fields. |
SOS Youth Facility for the boy’s has four separate family block having each block with 2 bed room,1 sitting room, kitchen & store & toilet bathroom. The boys’ facility has a separate building of one library, garage and residential quarter for the Youth in charge. Beside, this the boys’ youth facility has basketball and volleyball court for the physical entertaining games. Similarly, there’s separate building for the girls’ facility at a distance of 3 km from boys’ facility where office and the guest house is built on the premises of that Facility. For the girls entertaining badminton court is available. |
A Large number of youths from this facility have been integrated into the society. They live almost on their own path & working in the different fields and places on this country and abroad. SOS Youth Facility Nepalgunj is focusing to fulfill their goals by giving them to find a right and suitable path. This appropriate path and interest let them to make success and self –reliant in the future. So according to our objective (i.e. SOS Children’s Village motto) of giving long term family base care, we prepare them for self-confident being independent on the society. Generally we follow these objectives & ideas for the youth development. |
