Ms. Sunita Nepali and Navraj Basnet from SOS Children’s Village Lumbini bagged 3 gold medals in Open Pair Category with extra ordinary performance and Green belt female and male categories.  Mr. K. P. Oli, an influential leader of UML, awarded the players with the trophy and the certificates of appreciation.

A three day 1st NECOS Junior National Taekwondo Championship 2069 was organized by National Taekwondo Association on 19 - 21 April 2012 at Dasarath Rangsala, Kathmandu.
Out of 350 players participated from 26 districts; Ms. Sunita Nepali and Navraj Basnet of SOS Children’s Village Lumbini were the representatives of Rupandehi district.
Rupandehi District team lifted the 1st Position beating Trophy out of 25 other districts.
